Hi, thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a kick out of this site that I've managed to muster up in the lapse of two years.

Svenskmex or Raza Cósmica se-mx is a project I've done for purely emotional reasons. What I'm trying to do is bridge a gap between two cultures: the Mexican ::: ( Hispanic in the larger picture ) ::: and the Swedish one. I'm also English speaking because where I come from, México, we not only share a long border with the USA but a long history which ties us linguistically and by blood as well. The culture by our borders is in small part bilingual like me and therefore, what I like to say, Chicano Mexicano as opposed to a US Chicano. However, I write mostly in Spanish because most of the people who enter this site are fluent Spanish speakers. I've received messages asking me why don't I write in English instead and over the time I've come to the conclusion that having all documents in three languages is far more work than I am willing to lay down on the project. Besides, most of the culture dissimilarities that exist in the Anglo-Swede culture are well documented whereas the Hispanic-Swede is not. Svenskmex tries to help those Spanish speakers ::: (mostly of Mexican descent )::: who are contemplating a move to Sweden and help them bridge the gap, or in most cases, ease the culture clash that inevitably comes as the two worlds collide upon encountering each other. This clash is by no means a soft frontal clash. The culture's dissimilarities are so wide apart from each other that you can liken it to night and day. I believe that by better helping my brethren I can make a difference in image perception ::: ( i.e., to better be seen in the eyes of the Swede and how they perceive the Mexican)::: and maybe the lives of those moving here. I try to help understand the culture and its traditions and how Swedes are so that you the Mexican, you the Hispanic, can get an inkling of the wonderful world of Svealand and Götaland and better meet them, it's that simple.

By the bye's, please take notice that all the documents come from a single perspective, sometimes two ways, but mostly one ways, that is, when I explain things I address a Mexican audience, that is, I explain these cultural phenomena to an Hispanic audience and hence you won't see much of explanations by way to a Swedish audience, I love the Swedes man, maybe the Swedes will someday try to explain to other Swedes the strange and mystical phenomena that surrounds and permeates our cultural fabric. ¡Raza Cósmica se-mx !
